Builder ? Builder ? I'm afraid all builders now turn out much of a muchness ......New build houses throughout the country ..... block interiors, dot and dab, then facings.

Vernacular architecture has an appeal that's completely lacking in modern houses, a new build in Cornwall will look much the same as a new build in Scotland very little skill compared to the past. The aesetic appeal of modern houses ....there isn't any. Pretty much like lego now.
Don't do site work, never have. Mine are all one-off and unique.:)

Typical laymen mistake. You are confusing builder with labourer. At least you've admitted where you fit in boyo.(y)

And that's the mistake government and the top nods in the building industry have made. Chucking Eastern Europe at our skills shortage we have in this country. All they see is we have a shortage of manual labour.

You are so dumb. The UK government collects the tariffs you numpty.

If we set our tariffs to zero then other countries have no need to negotiate a trade deal - we have given away our leverage.

How thick are you?

We collect the tariffs and give 80% to the Eu you numpty ! So who benefits from the tariffs ?

Soverign debt :ROFLMAO: you belive macaroni :ROFLMAO: ....are you french ? You seem to think like them.

No they arn't you not been honest with yourself. The methods you use are typical with all modern buildings no different really to any other modern house.

When did you last put up a flint wall, wattle and daub, rammed earth ? They may be unique in as much as it's a one off build but your architect will be complying with building regs to get it passed so you have to work within those constraints. It's those very constraints that lead to me saying much of a muchness. Granted these days they have to be there to protect people. But the lego nature of today's buildings methods means that some of the superb skills that were needed in the past no longer exist. One simple example diminishing courses yes you might get it on some prestigious project but on domestic premises ....never and it looks so good ....yes we know the reasons economic use of natural products. But the end result was so visually pleasing. You only have to go in some areas and tge higgedly piggeredly way the buildings were put and the use of space is superb .....nothing is built that way anymore.

Lol, here's me thinking gasbag was talking about looks when he said they all look the same.
Mine are unique boyo and there is nowt in your above statement to contradict it.:)

As for modern techniques - I'd take those over wattle and daub any day. Oh, and no apologies for adhering to Building Regulations either. WTF they have anything to with all buildings looking the same is anyone's guess. gasbag for ya.(y)

We won't have to pay those tarrifs

You're right, we won't have to pay EU tarrifs. But then again, we probably won't be able to afford to import anything .... #projectfear

Besides, aren't EU tarrifs really low because the EU has negotiated good deals? We'll probably pay higher tariffs in future - especially if Boris and Farage are doing the negotiating.

Gasboy tell me how much does the EU collect in total, tariffs per year, then how much does the UK collect, also tariffs can be reclaimed if the products are exported on.

Now the problem with focussing on tariffs is that the major costs for exporters into the EU is meeting regulations.

Whilst people get focused on tariffs the real issue post Brexit will be regulation and standards. Brexit will be an opportunity for the unscrupulous to torch regulations. Look at the low food standards in the US and the higher levels of food poisoning.

You will on the one hand scream about we are over regulated and in the same breath opine for the dergulated mess of poorer countries you deride so often.

Whatever happens, businesses will stay pay. Whether its different tariffs, new import duty, new taxes, or whatever, business will pay, and very likely pay more than under EU membership.
But let's not let that get in the way of more discussion about how we will be free from the thieving dictatorship that is the EU.

The only thing we can be sure of is that nobody knows how it will turn out. And that is the scariest thing about it all. Better the devil you know.
