Hi All,

I would like to replace a Honeywell room thermostat with a Drayton Wiser (I'll also be replacing the radiator valves later).

Can I just confirm that:
N & L stay the same
2nd L to A loop in the Honeywell should now be L to 1 in the Drayton
2 in the Drayton stays empty
B in the Honeywell goes to 3 in the Drayton

Pics on imgur:
https://imgur.com/a/yJITiLE , unfortunately I didn't take a pic of all the Vaillant pcb but I can do that i needed - I see this pic talks about removing a loop on the PCB - https://www.diynot.com/diy/attachments/boiler-wiring-png.131440/ , i'll post pics if needed.

Also, maybe I should make another post about this: sometimes when the heater is switched on, the boiler would kick in then shortly after it would turn off - is that because it kicks in because i've 'manually' turned it on but then switches off because the desired temp on the room thermostat is lower than the actual temp? is that affected by the radiator thermostat or the room thermostat is the first 'gateway'?

Thanks everyone for reading this and trying to help. If this has already been asked then am sorry for missing it!

your wiring is correct, as for your other fault, when you manually over ride the thermostat it will sty in that position until the next timed change then will result to whatever that is

Thanks Ian. I'll do some testing on the issue that I posted, and i'll report back.
