Geographically Ireland is in the British Isles and it would make sense for Ireland be in alignment with the UK rather than the EU.

Oh vintly, you are silly.

Do you think GB is part of North America?

It is not.

it is part of Europe.

So, if they exceed EU standards, the quality must be lowered to meet EU standards? Is that what you are saying?
Not at all

But it makes no difference.

Unless a product has a CE stamp or comes under the General Product Safety Directive it can't be sold to the EU.

Of course it works both ways.

The government has announced that in the case of a no-deal, a UKCA marking will have to be used for products sold in the UK as the CE certificate will only be valid for a short period after brexit.

And of course a UKCA mark won't be valid in the EU!

So a whole new system for certifying goods in the future will have to be sorted out.
Imagine the bureaucracy!

Is it slowly sinking in how stupid everything to do with brexit is?

Or do you regard this as one of those mythical quitter 'benefits'?

I can’t wait until we are out. I’m storing up all these remoaner myths and we can see how you lot got caught up in project fear.

I thought no deal was considered unlawful therefore off the table? Any deal/alignment with the EU negates the damage.

Me neither. According to leavers, the UK is going to prosper immediately and be a world leader and be free of the 'shackles' that the EU have bound us to.

The pound will soar and we'll all be rich.

Im looking forward to the hardest no deal possible.

Then I can enjoy seeing all those things Motman voted for not coming true.

Where did you make that up :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

How many countries trade under WTO terms? Answer = 1 (y)

For those of you not familiar with Mauritania, it’s GDP is $4,714million (0.2% of the UK’s), 50% of its exports consist of Iron Ore, and between 1% and 17% of the population still live in slavery

I am not worrying at all........it is well known the region that will be most damaged is Northern Ireland....and I dont live there.

You said Yorkshire last time them Durham then Essex

the UK is going to prosper immediately
Now that is something I’ve never said. I fully expect it will take 5 to 10 years for us to be properly sorted. My vote was never based on what would happen the day after. I've said it before and I’ll say it again, it’s like a divorce. Full of acrimony, expense, heartbreak and suffering and the only immediate gainers would be the solicitors but you ask anyone who's been divorced for 5 or 10 years and they’ll all say the temporary pain was worth it in the long run. Brexit is a long game, not a short term one.

Okay, hands up all those on here who are divorced but wish you had stayed together.

your post is based on your ignorance....its backed up by belief only.

here is an idea: the UK already have preferential trade deals around the world, where do you think new ones will be coming from?

Elle John and Notchy will all disappear.
Nope.

If Brexit happens, one by one the UK will negotiate worse deals than it currently has.....for everything.
I am sure I will be around to point them out.
