Great country very very clean compared with here ........hardly any litter after three miles down a dual carriageway way ....not one bit of litter did I see at the sides.

Very friendly nice people. One characteristic I noticed with some girls/women who looked a little more portugese than others .......they had very pointed small noses ! Just an observation might I add. That was most becoming.

We were in the south so all good. higher up some had bad weather, the hotel stores about 20/25 bikes in the underground car park some tourers mainly trail bikes you can cross Portugal north and south on dirt tracks that's the main attraction.

Some of the bikers nearly got blown off ( women) 200 miles north about 5 degrees ....18 ~20 where we were.

I have visited Portugal and its islands many times, going on a Douro cruise next year, but I disagree about litter, we walk along trails, and the amount of old fridges, mattresses and the like dumped in pristine countryside is appalling, also applies to Spain

Keen! damn well near starved. Lisbon is also I think possibly the worst sh*thole I have been to. Not for me, not going back.
