Doing it in the dark???

How do all,

I am mid way through a rear extension presently, doing largely myself inspired by the £30k thread on here.

It's ground to a halt in run up to xmas, need to start again.

Anybody do stuff after work at night outside? Worth getting flood lights or a step too far and wait for spring.

Get yourself a quality head torch, I got one last year to work on a garden studio build. I found it fantastic - it creates a bright even cast of light wherever you are. And because its in front of you, its pretty much shadow free. I now use it for walking the dog at night, much better than a hand held torch.

Dont get a £10 on, I paid about £40 takes 4 AA, but there are lots of rechargeable ones now.

Did you do much on your build at night then? Guess I am as much looking for a little motivation too.

I have a "snap-on" head torch and it's great.
I also have an LED rechargeable flood from Amazon (£25?) that's very good

Being winter, outside work can be cold and slow so don't expect to do much
Noise is also a bit of an issue but fewer windows open

(A halogen light also gives off heat if you're in a closed off space)

Why would you? There are 8 hours of daylight even in Winter.

Regarding lights to work by I would also justify the head torch method. I now work in the forest and using a head torch enables the use of both hands, is (almost if you ignore tree branches), shadowless and keeps my woolly hat in place. LOL
