Maybe they emigrated as no hope now for the UK and didn't want beggars knocking on their door or see the place go down the tubes. More likely found some nice earners so they will be ok what ever happens.

They are a mix of people who failed when working for the "city". Went through prep school to ensure they passed their exams and may have even paid their way through Oxford / Cambridge
One sensibly decided to let others run his city type business. That's ok we will be able to eat a lot of lamb on the cheap until the herds are cut back to suite. Same with a number of other things.the UK imports as much lamb as it imports
we want shoulder of lamb and leg of lamb for sunday joints
EU want cuts of meats for fancy stews etc
