What have you been doing today?

Finished front suspension rebuild on car.

Then modified my Stihl chainsaw. There's a mod where you can slot the muffler to give it extra breathing and more power. Wow definitely works, reset the mtronic carb and wizzed up a few logs with vigor. If anyone out there has a 241c or 261c chainsaw well worth doing. 'C' denotes mtronic carb easier as it self tunes after you modify.

Have you seen the video where the woman makes a mask out of a pair of boxer shorts? No alterations involved!

Looks like it’s going to be a nice day today so I suppose we are going to see another spike in infections in 5 days time once the idiots have had their day out at the beach.

I'm finding this hard I have a nice size garden a meadow and a Brook down the bottom to walk the dog.

I'm lucky

Just imagine how hard this going to be for those in flats in the big cities.

Yep, we're in the same position but our daughter and her boyfriend live in a flat in North London and don’t even have a balcony. It’s driving them mad - they’re both outdoorsy people - he's a golf nut and she's a keen runner/gym nut.

I forgot to mention I also have Netflix

I'm lucky in that my house has been neglected in recent years because I've been so busy, now with time on my hands I've managed to get most of the materials to get me going on a few good sized projects, mainly outdoors, and with a pleasant sea view (sea glimpses) it's lovely to be outside and getting a bit of exercise.

I'm not giving it the big gen. I have no right to. I'll most probably struggle financially. But I consider ourselves lucky. There are people stuck in flats whos mental health will get them.

Its easy for those with money and space to call others idiots

Netflix and my old dvd's are taking a proper hammering at the moment.

I sat the other afternoon watching The English Game. As much as I enjoyed it. It was just not right, sitting on the sofa watching TV on a Thursday afternoon

We will be OK financially for 3 months, if it runs to 6 months I'll start getting a little concerned, but we'll survive. My heart goes out to people with no savings and who live in rented accommodation, hopefully the Government will help these people.

As you say Bodd, mental health issues caused by this are going to be massive.

Well, we'll have to disagree on that. In light of the ever increasing numbers of people dying on a daily basis, you would have to be an idiot to ignore that fact as well as the instruction to socially distance yourself and head for a crowded area such as a beach or a park. We're very lucky in that we have a garden and as part of our daily exercise regime we can walk our dog 20 minutes to our allotment and spend as long as we like pottering about in the fresh air in relative seclusion. Even so, if we didn’t have a garden or an allotment we would time our walks/exercise when there were least people about. It’s tough, very tough, but not as tough as a horrible death alone in a field hospital.
