SWA entering new outbuilding...conduit?

Hi Guys,

Im just running my utilites to my new outbuilding (still waiting to be built up to DPC). I had to run utiities first due to access etc.

Is it ok if i run the swa beneath the dpc with a lintel and up through the concrete floor once its poured etc?

DO i use a hockey stick to bend it in then up to the inside or will a standard waste pipe size conduit suffice?

either but dont have any sharp bends. hockey sticks have a very shallow bend for a reason so if you want to use waste pipe try to match the sweep of a hockey stick by using 45 degree bends rather than 90 s

Its actually a 40m run but im going to bury the swa direct into ground and was just thinking about how to enter it into the building pre build

It's always a good idea to run a length of rope in with cables anyway in case you need to pull another in, (assuming you have the space), or you have to pull an existing one out and forget to tie a rope to it as you pull it out. Better to be safe than sorry at a later date.

All true (if there is a duct), but presumably not relevant to the OP's situation if (as he says) the SWA is going to be buried directly, other than for the short journey up into the building?
