Surprised they managed almost a month, but just had the expected email to announced coronavirus in the school. And they are taking loads of measures to protect everybody.

Better do a big shop in case we all get stuck home for 2 weeks!

I think that we are creeping inexorably back to a full lockdown by the back door. That is, area by area as in South Wales, where the counties went into lockdown one after the other, east to west.

My understanding is that back in March, covid was concentrated in London and the SE, so although the North locked down then too, they didnt have many cases

however places like Liverpool have had cases all over the summer and now we seeing that all across the North.

I really feel for all those businesses esp pubs and cafes etc in the North, just getting back on their feet.

dont be silly

all the constant covid procedures have led to a vast amount of work for teachers.
Yes, lots of work...
Open the freezer, take the ice cubes, open the cupboard, take a large glass, pour the ice in the glass, go to the cabinet, take the clear bottle, pour half a glass, open the fridge, get the tonic, pour in the glass, put back in the fridge, reopen the freezer, put ice back, reopen the fridge, take a lemon, open the drawer, take a knife, slice the lemon, put the slice in the glass, reopen the fridge, put the lemon back in the fridge, lift the glass, take it to the sofa, sit down and sip...
It's back breaking...

about time they did something. max pay min effort. same as the nhs and local authorities. enough with the faux adoration already . its very tedious and sickly.

He's right Notch, after 6 months off, isn't it reasonable to expect they do a few days work.

One of three local pubs has closed shop - landlord, landlady, chef and 1 member of bar staff all have covid so they've locked the doors. Quite impressed how responsible the landlord is being. Guess reopen after 2 weeks?
