Is there a white plastic switched 3 gang that will go straight on the old 4 gang back box?

Converted car port to domestic use, it had a single light, switched at a 4 gang just inside previous front door.

This new room has a new supply arrangement, and new light switch inside the room, the previous switched supply is obsolete.

I'd like a 3 gang 2 way switch to replace the old 4 gang 2 way but back boxes seem to be different sizes.

The old 4 gang back box is a bit crowded and there will be a few obsolete wire ends to terminate properly so space is an issue..

Is there a white plastic switched 3 gang 2 way that will go straight on the old 4 gang rectangular back box? It would be handy if I didn't have to change back boxes.

Or even a 4 gang with removeable switch/blanking insert arrangement to go straight on the old rectangular back box? Does the creature exist?

Mk normal grid switches would fit
3 or 4 Gang both fit the twin size box
and sold in screwfix
You will need an earth at the switch though

Surely there must be normal switches that are the same size.
One would think so, but the great majority of 'normal' 3-gang switches appear to be 'single box' sized, whereas I assume that the OP's 'rectangular' box is 'double'..

Kind Regards, John

I did find these but you got there 1st.

The 2 gang switches available are 10amp and 20amp? They're for the hallway & landing lights, is a 20amp rating required?

Oh yeah forgot about MK grid. They do look nicer than click imo.

You only need 10A switches for a domestic lighting circuit.

The single pole 20A 2 way are cheaper but I'm not sure what the difference is?
Cheaper than what? If you mean cheaper than the 1-Way DP one on that Screwfix page, that would not be suitable for you if, as you said, you need a 2-way one.

Kind Regards, John
