What have you been doing today?

Yay, I’m a horny Hornchurchian.

Watched a couple of old movies. 'On the buses' and 'Please Sir'. I remember seeing them both in the cinema first time round.

Had another lockdown haircut by Mrs Mottie.

On The Buses, Steptoe, Carry Ons, Fawlty - quality! British humour at it's best. Test of quality humour is although you've seen it several times before, you can still ache with laughter. Load of bowllox on tv at Xmas, but can often find a channel running On The Buses or Carry Ons all day.

Been on the phone to a worried Mrs Mottie for most of the morning. She went to pick up our 22 month old grandson this morning as she looks after him on Thursdays and just before she got there, his mum came in the room and found him with a torch in pieces. The bulb was missing and when they asked him where it was, he coughed and pointed to his tummy. The rushed him up the hospital. Tried a metal detector first, no joy, x-rayed him and they could see it. Says he has to poo it out and it could take a week. I remember doing a similar thing when I was young and swallowed a tanner!

I'm sure there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

@Mottie OOI Have you ever been to one of the Ford meet ups at the Halfway House, East Horndon?
Yeah, only 10-15 minutes from me - used to go there regular when I was a member of the Lotus Register. Went again when I built a MK1 RS2000 replica from a base 1100 shell.

Small world then, when I worked at Ford Dunton I used to stay at the Travelodge next door. (I don't recommend it)

Decided to get out in the back yard 1hour of leaf blowing with backpack blower then sucking the lot up into my mulching machine. Few days worth left!
