Sorry, I couldn't resist.
To be forgiven I post here my Saturday bike sightseeing records (the kids showed me an app for it).
Went with a former semi-pro and left him to eat my dust on a stretch in Syon park where I hit 43.5 km/h on my mountain bike.
I wish I had gone Sunday though without wind...

Christmas around the corner, self employment grant No3 next week, not in tier 3, finally out of the shackles of the EU. Things are looking good!!

Seems to defy logic but, how does one manage to ascend 8km (and descend the same) in 24km?
Around west London?
It's as flat as a witch's tit around there:mrgreen:

42mph downhill on a pushbike is damn scary!

35mph is too, especially when you have no protective gear on, the surface is loose pebbles and is rutted through heavy rain the previous night, and the only parts of the bike you're touching are the grips:eek:

(Me, a few weeks ago)

Have you been out with many witches?
On second thoughts, you don't have to answer that...

Johnny, I'm surprised the camera went off. It's over but not by much.

Don't know, the app does everything.
And there are plenty of inclines here, ask my old legs...

I'm sure it does, but that's the same as going up an 8000m mountain in 12km, then turning around and whizzing back down again. That's a 34deg climb!
I bet most people could barely crawl up that, let alone cycle!

Perhaps some clever maths bod could point out the error in my working.........
