EU firms refuse UK deliveries over Brexit tax changes

So you gone from licensing to screw them who cares? That means you are saying screw you to all the UK owners, enthusiasts etc who bought their products, thus making their investments worthless or taking a big hit.

You really didn't think it through other than Brexit lets stick it to them foreigners. :ROFLMAO:
It’s nothing to do with OE parts for a specific make of bike. The Dutch company just sell universal accessories. If the U.K. owners of Dutch style bikes can’t get a pannier or a lamp in the U.K., then they will just have to go without. Tell me what you want for your Dutch bike and I’ll have a look for an alternative for you.

Yeah, just got to sort some paperwork out for the regs that were agreed between the EU and U.K. less than one working day ago. Just another EU firm losing out. Move on.

"Due to Brexit, we have temporarily closed our store from UK-based customers. Ordering will be possible as soon as our UK VAT-registration and the overall process of selling to the UK post-Brexit has been sorted out!"

As i said in an earlier post, these companies will soon catch up with the paperwork and normal business will resume........no news here.....move on.

Uk firms will start to lose out when they work out the rules of origin implications or they will be hit with tariffs.

Their IT systems will need to be modified to work with the new rules - all extra costs and yet not one benefit has been mentioned. Just a bit of paperwork. pfft

Your blase attitude speaks volumes, its just bluster now, deep down Mottie you know Brexit is s hit sandwich.

The following are permanent increases in trade barriers creating permanent increases in costs

Rules of origin checks
sPs controls
Transit documents
Customs declarations
Loss of certification recognition
Loss of fish quota swaps
Loss of multiple cabotage

Lots to see here Pete, best we don't move on.....

because it is the reason loads of UK businesses have relocated to SM and EU customers are moving to suppliers inside EU.

Best you get used to bad news....you voted for failure, you've been cheering for failure.....so you better take it on the chin

If it’s worth foreign businesses doing the paperwork, they’ll do it. If it’s not, they won’t. If they don’t do it and there is a gap in the market, someone over here will fill it. That’s how business works. It’s as simple as that.

One flaw in your argument.

you are saying it will be less worthwhile EU companies sending goods to 65million people

And

UK companies will find it less worthwhile sending goods to EU, 450 million people.

Oh dear, you've just found a negative for Brexit

I wish it was only paperwork - but its more than that - UK companies may need to comply with UKCA in the UK and CE marking if they want to sell in the EU.

Hmm that is about as childish analysis as it gets. Using that logic when all these coastal towns lost business why didn't someone rush in and fill in the gaps?
