Hi All

We are buying our first property and have what we suspect is an exposed 4" soil pipe running along the kitchen ceiling. The pipe has been boxed in and it's there as a result of an extension.

What possibilities are available to fully conceal the pipe or redirect it?

We have attached a picture to give an idea of what the issue is

whats above the boxing in - in the rooms above - and whats on the outside wall - It maybe worth a small plan with more photos, manhole locations and drain map , so people here may have all the information to answer

Most things are possible at a cost. You'll need to remove the boxing in and take plenty of photos, including where it comes from and goes to.

Many thanks for the reply,

Above the start of the boxing in section (middle of the room) is the upstairs bathroom/toilet. The rest of the boxed in section runs through a single story extension. ill post some updated photos

Apologies for the lack of info as we are currently in the process of buying the house so don't have the access required to draw up a plan only a few photos to go by.
