It's a famous German make with what looks like a walnut burr.

Sadly pianos aren't worth a great deal... I'd guess at £500.

Most old pianos can't hold concert pitch and need major renovation to sound great.

Has it been regularly tuned and where has it lived it's life?

Judging by the brick wall and what appears to be a concrete floor it looks as though it may be in a garage.
You need to get it indoors asap but not in a hot, dry environment. Get a professional tuner to look it over and give a price for tuning.
In the meantime, look inside to see if there are any distinguishing marks of plates stating when/where/who built it etc You may find something under the keyboard area if you get on your hands and knees. Research on the internet the manufacturers name and history etc. Google auctioneers who may have sold similar items at any time.

Just read, most pianos have a 4, 5, or 6 digit number. With this number and the name of the manufacturer you should be able to trace how old it is etc.

I'm not sure... The Piano was due its yearly service.
This is where confusion started....its her piano.
I told Mrs Bod the Blind man would be round Monday morning. She was thinking to tune the piano but it was to measure the French doors.

She likes doing her house work naked... so she thought no need to get dressed while he tuned the piano.

So it don't know what got serviced. We opted for Curtains in the end.

It's only been in garage today.

Good luck with selling it on, unfortunately I often see piano's in a similar condition being given away on Freegle because people struggle to find someone that wants one.
I'd love one but have neither the room nor the skill to play one, all I have is a desire to do so.
SO if I ever do it will be electronic.

I used to work for a removal company looking after their lorries. Pianos were ten a penny and were often given away. The cost of moving and retuning them often outweighed their worth.

"...Dad, do you know the piano is on my foot?"

"..you hum it son, I'll play it.."
