40% isn't enough to stop transmission if you're not doing a lockdown or social distancing.
It does make a difference, the rate of spread will be slower, but there'll be plenty of people getting very sick in the remaining 60% who haven't had a shot. If they're targeting the most vulnerable then it'll help reduce deaths and serious illness much more than a 40% cut, but I don think everywhere has a body as sensible as the JCVI steering vaccine use.

The resident rampant racists doing what they do best, promoting racially motivated hatred.
Chile has vaccinated about 35% of its population, but inequality remains the worst of Chile's problems.
We have seen from reports and data in UK that inequality is one of the most important factors in the mortality rate from Covid.
Transam and Dangee either purposely ignore these facts to suit their racially motivated agenda, or are oblivious to them.
Both scenarios suggest a serious lack of intelligence.

Inequality is as bad in Chile today as it ahs been years ago.
We know from investigations in UK that inequality is a major cause of mortality rate in a population. Vaccinations, ppe, social distancing, work from home, stay at home, and lack of income are all serious problems for those suffering from inequality.
Brexiters certainly followed that advice.

It might be interesting to look at what other countries have used the China vaccine. Just to see how they compare. I have absolutely no idea currently. I suspect most negative information will have been erased by the communist state.

There's only one word to describe transam's blatant racism: persistent.
And he's been posting on this site for well over ten years, protected and supported by the site owners and the mods, who delete posts and threads, and ban other posters who oppose his blatant and persistent racism.
He tries to convince others that he's just trolling, or it's just banter. But he overlooks two important points:
a) his trolling or banter is still blatant racism, it's still promoting racial hatred and
b) he (supposedly) can't see the response of his intended target, so he's not trolling.
Some gullible people might be convinced by his feeble excuse for his persistent and blatant racism.
His severe lack of intelligence knows no bounds.
