UK Inward Investment Diverted to France Again

Just going to say that the contracts for leaky ships and the design specs were actually done under labour government., Contracts were announced in 2007 but were signed in 2008 but there were years of discussion beforehand.

Building of the HMS qe started in 2009.

The financial crisis hit at the time of the build so it was decided by labour to slow the build down, which added at least 1.6 billion to the build cost.

The Tories inherited this, and it seems from what I can find the specs of the vessels stayed almost as per the original.

The Tories renegotiated the contract in 2013 due to spiralling costs, and so they felt they needed to make Bae accountable as it was assumed the government were being used as a cash cow and this contract change meant that BAE were liable for 50% of any cost over runs.

When your talking billions of £ of over runs I imagine that bae went down the cheaper route of particular items.

Those cheaper routes appear to have been with the fire system in the engine room, a faulty valve apparently, causing 3 billion of damage..

poor Woody's xenophobia leads him to attack workers in parts of the UK different to his own.

Additionally, he has not grasped that Procurement qualification includes identifying products and suppliers that meet the required quality standards.

I'm sure he is fully aware that budgets and affordability are determined by the government in power. Which for the past 12 years has been Tories.

It would make no odds you would still find some thing to whinge about

When all else fails you can always whinge about some ones shoes
( Theresa May )

blimey what did Johnson pay for his shoes ??

perhaps the tax payer paid for his shoes :eek:

He didn't, someone else paid. Bit he met the full cost when it was made public. :ROFLMAO:
Jenny Arcuri paid for his wedding suit. :ROFLMAO:
Of course it wasn't used for her wedding. :ROFLMAO:

I do not have any family working in shipbuilding.

really, the nonsense you spout gets more ridiculous daily.
You're not even interesting or challenging to debate against! Do you ever give a reasoned response?

You have lost the very argument you started.

Any one know how much the toilet paper is costing at this G7 summit

Is some Tory MP a share holder in the company ? Or has a relative that works for the company supplying the paper ?

What about the catering ? Are any Tory MPs involved in the catering company ?

Thanks sorry didn't realise was reposted, thought it hadn't posted.
It does that sometimes, especially when a few posts have been made, and a new page is being generated.
Next time, copy your whole post just for safety, and refresh the screen, then check if there's a new page and if your post is there.
