A good speech. I particularly liked the parts about getting away from a low wage/low growth mentality, which like it or not sums up most of the EU. It won't be a smooth transition, nobody ever said it would be, but the long term looks exciting, I'm optimistic about the future.

I doubt anyone in power could have pulled off as much as he has so far.

Levelling up? lets wait and see. If it doesn't work out, we can always vote for Angela Rayner.

I note with some amusement that the EU are now, having previously tried enticing them to join, blocking the Balkan states from joining the EU, for fear of an influx of cheap labour which would have an impact on their own citizens.
