How are people finding getting their booster jab?

Back to the original question, i had to queue on line for about 5 minutes this morning and have booked a jab appointment in 5 days time approx 1 mile from my work.

Apart from the initial queue, it was dead easy to book with loads of availability around us.

mine is booked for Friday, given I was double Jabbed with AZ, I'm keen to get the alternative as AZ seems to be struggling to cope with the newer variants.

I agree, it has become so very tribal

but to be fair you have contributed to that as much as anybody else.

I am happy to have a sensible conversation and drop the labels if you in return accept that there is a risk to not being vaccinated and there is a risk to being vaccinated. There is no free ticket.
totally agree , that’s all i’ve been trying to say.

I was doubled jabbed with the AZ but the booster was Pfizer. Felt ok yesterday after the jab but woke this morning with a mild headache and an achy arm at the jab site. 2 Paracetemol saw off the headache but the site is still a bit tender to the touch.

I'm double jagged with Astra Zenica but my booster on 5th December was Moderna Biotech. I got my flu jag at the same time in the other arm.
The next day, the arm that got the Covid jag was sore. And on the second day, all of a sudden as I was spreading toast in the morning, I got a nosebleed for no reason.
The first I knew of it was when I saw the blood on the worktop.

Here they seem to not be allowing two different ones at the same time. Wendy had her booster appointment for in four days, but then got an appointment for a pneumonia jab for this morning, so the surgery said seven days minimum between jabs and have delayed the booster until January.

I had the booster, then shingles jab 5 days apart, perhaps they failed to notice in my case?

There's no medical reason you can't have both at the same time.

However it isn't that common in part to prevent people getting confused about any adverse effects from each one, in part because if you have them both at the same time you can end up with two very sore arms, which isn't fun.

I guessed at the only reason was them being able to tie symptoms, to a particular jab as the cause.

boosters are mRNA vaccines so either Pfizer or Moderna -I asked the vaccinator and thats what she told me.

Pfizer is more widely available, I think

Yeah, that's the reason AZ is not given as a booster - some people like to claim it's because it is "bad", bit its simply because research and testing has shown that boosting with mRNA vaccines is more effective.

not possible. nose bleeds don’t happen. fake news , conspiracist , thread closed banned.

 I had a nose bleed a week and a half after the booster. Same thing, nose feeling a little runny - whoops it's blood. I thought my nose was just running.

My daughter tried booking a booster appointment yesterday, all that was available was mid january..

It’s a shame Boris Johnson is only doing this massive rush job on boosters for political gain.

it’s so he can do his “world beating……” routine
