How are people finding getting their booster jab?

The other panic I have mentioned - change in the age groups in hospital. Looks more like a typical start to a wave.
A hospital doctor on the news last night said that the majority of cases in hospital at the moment are younger than before and that in 80% of cases, they were unvaccinated.

Yep, I heard the same, the covid seems to be doing exactly what was anticipated.

Me and Mrs Secure had ours yesterday morning.

Felt like carp most of yesterday, but much better this AM.

I don't drink for a couple of days either side of a vaccination. Hard to imagine I know but there you go........
there’ll be enough stress going in in your system after that without adding alcohol to the equation.

Left me with a sore arm from my wrist to the side of the neck the following day for a couple of days (Pfizer) whilst the missus had a sore shoulder and felt a bit rough for a couple of days (Moderna). By way of comparison the flu jab put me on my back for 3 days this time!

As to what Covid can do, I don't know, but I have had pneumonia once in my life (when I was in my late 30s) and I've been told by a nurse that the cytokine storm you can experience with Covid is in some ways similar. That is something I really want to avoid experiencing again

I do wonder how some of these anti-vaxxers manage to sleep on a night, with the risks they are taking the stuff of nightmares and all just to make a silly point of principle.

To be fair, on a psychological level, those anti-vaxxers are absolutely convinced that they are right.
If they had any suspicion that they might be wrong, but continue to promote their conspiracy theories, they would have to be insane, or intentionally nefarious towards society.
For a normal person to co-exist in society, and maintain an attitude of benefitting society, they must adopt the innate confidence of contributing to society, or acknowledge to themselves that they have criminal intentions. Such people are possibly sadistic psychopaths.
So to avoid that self-perception of being a psychopath, nefarious people have to genuinely believe that they are benefitting society. That is, they are deluding themselves to rescue their sanity, if that makes sense.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if some so-called anti vaxxers on here have had the jab but just won't own up and admit they were wrong.
