If Starmer resigns there are other candidates that could do better than Starmer.

It seems to be related into simplifying things for companies. An interviewer mentioned sacking pregnant women and it wasn't denied. I'd have thought not that extreme.

KS said he would leave if fined. Therefore if he is not "fined" he feels he can stay. However, most are now of my view IE unless the police clear him 100% and no ambiguity whatsoever, he has to go.


Sadly, if Boris was forced out, we'd end up were a more dangerous clown. Boris is a dangerous clown but he can be easily read. I worry about those dangerous clowns that are snakes.

I maintain that BJ could have easily defended his fine as it could not lawfully be enforced. But he’d have got a lot of bad PR while fighting his case and would risk having to go to appeal. People would see he got off on a technicality (evidence not according to PACE, out of time for prosecution etc.)

I would also say that a pre-planned social gathering between work sessions is no different.

KS on the other hand has clearly mobilised a legal team to fight the prosecution if it went that far. I doubt any CPS review would proceed and suspect the same would have been true for BJ had he also indicated he’d fight.
