Bosnia & Herzegovina, Albania, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey, oh and Ukraine are added now, maybe with a fast track.

All will be net recipients of money, wow, that's going to be expensive for someone. Can they afford it? I'm inclined to say no.

I wonder how those Eastern bloc countries have done since joining the EU…..

It’s rare for any country to make the climb from poverty to wealth. The IMF tracks 195 economies and counts just 39 as “advanced.” Only 18 nations have graduated

Of the last ten nations to reach the advanced class, four are micro states or territories such as Puerto Rico and San Marino. The rest are ex-communist countries of eastern Europe: the Czech and Slovak Republics, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Slovenia

Though the IMF definition of “advanced” includes the quality of institutions and other subjective factors, these nations share a per capita income above $17,000. Among the few nearing that threshold, the only large nation is Poland, with a per capita income above $15,000. Hungary is a step ahead, near $16,000, and Romania is a few places back at $13,000.

But somebody has to pay for it, for every gain in those countries, there has to be a loss somewhere else, for every surplus, there has to be a deficit. Isn't that one of the laws of economics?

No

if you invest in poor countries, they get richer.

I presume you are against the Conservative party “levelling up” the North

Fortunately, thanks to the foresight of us Brexers, not us. Phew, looks like we got out just in time.

Its amazing the foresight you had, what with Brexit red tape only cost well over £10 billion a year

The saving we made being part of the EU were higher than being out

foresight :ROFLMAO:

Brexit voters were never able to understand EU membership was not a zero sum game.

single market membership was worth far more than the membership fee.

See, that the flaw with the argument put up by you short-sighted remoaners. ITS. NOT. ABOUT. THE. SHORT. TERM. LOSS. How many times must I tell you that? Brexit was an investment made by wise people in the UK's future. It's not and never was a short term thing. Spend some now, save a lot later. Continue saving for evermore. Remember that.

Brexit red tape is continuous, it’s over £10 billion a year every year.

40% UK exports go to EU, now they all experience massive red tape, same with imports.

Self imposed economic sanctions

Nothing is ever continuous apart from your hatred of the UK and love of the EU
Outside of the Single Market, we are a 3rd country and that means permanent trade barriers.

If you think UK will move trade to elsewhere…..you are wrong. The UK also has the same trade barriers with every other country in the world.

I love Britain and am very proud of the United Kingdom….and unlike you I didn’t want it destroyed by Brexit.

You are a traitor.

This recent visit by the french
German
And Italians to Ukraine

About them joining the EU ?? Hmmm it will be years and years away if ever
