How embarrassing that these missiles were old 1970's Russian tech, that travelled all that way to two key air bases undetected.

If Ukraine hit Moscow there would be Nuclear retaliation. Probably low yield, but it would be the start of escalation. Hitting this airbase is legit. Ukraine has clearly had conditions attached to its weapons "loans". Otherwise, I'd have expected them to lay waste to most of the Russian border, to prevent resupply.

This was claimed to be a Soviet era rocket Ukraine had. Ukraine hasn't got much of their own to hit Russia with so it wouldn't be WW3. I can't see anyone saying a Moscow airbase or power plant wouldn't be a legitimate target in the light of what Putin is doing.
