What have you bought today?

Bought a paper shredder. Mrs Mottie has finally burnt out our old one. Not just overheated this time. Kaput!

A sofa. Mrs Mottie took me out to show me one she said she wanted and we ended up spending more than double on a completely different one! Next were running a 'deal' that meant I could get £150 off of another item so we ordered smething for £150 as it would be effectively free. That is coming in 3-4 weeks. The sofa is coming on Friday. They deducted the £150 from the payment for the sofa and will charge it when the other item is ready for delivery. Once we have the sofa, guess what item is going to be cancelled. ;)
Depends how switched on their system is and small print I dare say.
Just had notification that the 'free' item would be charged to my card tomorrow and delivered in April. There was an option to cancel. I phoned up Next and asked them if I could cancel and I would not be charged anything more and I was told yes, I could cancel and I wouldn’t be charged anything extra as I had already paid for the sofa. So I cancelled. :giggle:

Boiler suit, pulled my old one out to do some gardening and its really clarty with the mastic I used to re seat the skylight on the camper, it never fully sets apparently.

Just a trip to Lidl, with a list to fill. They had eggs this time, but no tins of evap milk, again. They didn't have many of my usual Warburton toastie white, so I decided to give their look-alike orange toastie a try. I am not impressed.

Aaaaaand…they charged my Amex card this morning. Been onto them already they say wait till it arrives and send it back to them for refund. I said no, refund the charge. They said no can do - their system won’t let them. I said I’m getting on to Amex as that’s an unauthorised charge. They then said charge refunded and they’ll try to stop the delivery and refund will take a few days to show……...but if the item arrives, refuse delivery! No doubt to be continued.…..

A new filter and an uprated trigger for our Dyson V10 cordless vacuum cleaner. I’ve seen the video on replacing the trigger on YT so I’m going to have a go. What’s the worse that can happen?

Just ordered a foldable sack barrow on Amazon for £40. Got the same model in work so know it's a good one.
Don't see the point in paying for a branded one, (Stanley, which we also have in work), when they both perform exactly the same.
For use in the garden to move some big, heavy pots around when the weather gets a bit nicer. Nice big wheels so it doesn't create ruts in the lawns.

Oh, and some PH reducer for the spa. Our incoming PH levels are around 9.4 and, after getting it's annual service, it's a b1tch to get the PH level down to the 7.2 - 7.8 range.

I thought you would have stocked up with that when you left CP. ;)

That is very high for a domestic water supply and falls just within the guidelines. Are you certain that is correct?
Out of interest, do you know where your water comes from, i.e. is it from a reservoir, river exractraction, groundwater?
