Tory party to change back to imperial measurements

Obviously that would cause you some confusion noseall
Not at all no. However, have you ever tried mixing Imperial plumbing stuff with metric? As I said, metric and imperial stuff is distinct and different.

Do you even know what 15mm is in Imperial?

15 mm is half inch in pipe size there is no difference

There is how ever a difference between 22mm and imperial equivalent hence why there are adapters to connect onto it via imperial compression rings or solder adapters

And in order to clear up your confusion ref the number 16 on the tyre
It refers to 16 inch tyre the tyre is made in Korea

Doubt you have noticed but The Speedo in yer car reads mph

As do the speed signs in your area

The court system in the UK still use mph in speeding prosecutions

Most burger out let’s in the Uk usually under stand the term quarter pounder when you ask for a burger

Although if it’s run by some French bloke they probably would not

Cumulatively, the differences can be problematic. For instance 16" is not 400mm, 18" is not 450mm and 24" is not 600mm. By the time you have several incremental measurements at one or the other, then the difference is huge. They DO NOT mix. Reverting back to Imperial would be idiotic and catastrophic.

It's either one or the other.

Irrelevant. Unless of course you are suggesting that lawyers and lawmakers may start trying to mix metric and Imperial for some bizarre reason?

Lol.

Probably not then.
You'd see the change. In UK the left hand side of the beam is higher. It's t'other way when the lights/speedo changes, or on LHD vehicles.

For permanent conversion, the light units are interchangeable, but not cheap.

A stick-on converter is only slightly efficient, and a stick-on mask just masks the higher part of the beam.

Lol.

Not suggesting any thing of the sort

Just stating a fact

The use of Imperial measurements has never gone away

Because that would be utterly stupid. As was the ridiculous suggestion by Reesmugg.

Brexer shmucks.

Imperial and metric measurements have nowt to do with brexit

And who cares about smog

The UK were using metric measurements long before we adopted the metric system as the norm

Engine sizes have and were always expressed in CC afaik or since I can remember

Cubic centimetres
