The French are revolting.

Oh so with that kind of history it would make perfect sense to get rid of the square mile (regardless of its geographical location to the rest of the world) move it to France and France could gear up a manufacturing side and Germany could flatten their manufacturing base and grow crops.

What the f##k are you prattling on about (this time)?

Unless you're saying that your conspiracy was actually good sense, but you objected to it because it was them pesky foreigners ;-)

You do know why French farmers are up in arms don't you, it wouldnt be to do with all them subsidies they get that other eu countries with similar economies can't compete with being taken away from them.

Protesting is what the French do; it's in their DNA.

Like us, but with queuing, tutting, and apologising when someone else stands on one of our feet. :ROFLMAO:

Where did I say it wasn't good sense it came at a price is what I'm saying to other parts of the country which I've outlined, keep up.

As already pointed out, heavy industry and heavy manufacturing withered as a result of domestic ideology (and bad local management, and unions cutting their own throats).
Shady deals in smoke-filled rooms is just the stuff of your febrile imagination.

If that's what think so be it, you must have rub shoulders with notchys mystic meg persona where he knows what everyone thinks.

Tory is now the home of the working class, not in some small part by Thatchers cheap houses.

Not that I have a big problem with RTB, but I do have a big problem with councils not allowed to build more housing, so now we pay out a fortune in housing benefit that ends up in the hands of privately owned housing associations
RTB had up to 75% discounts, no way is that squandering of taxpayers assets justifiable. When Westminster Council did it back in the day it was declared unlawful gerrymandering. They sold Council houses in marginal tory wards and shunted the homeless out into safe labour wards. Thatcher did it first and got re elected.

Anyway Clarkson has tweeted his support for the french farmers so they must be doing something right

Now the Spanish farmers are revolting. They don’t seem too happy with the EU, do they? They are not alone in that either. Apparently, non-EU countries are undercutting them. Eh? I thought it was those not in the EU that were suffering? Any comments from remoaners on that?

it’s all pretty shocking really

Thatcher really set in the process of the U.K. flogging all its assets: she get rid of council housing stock and used North Sea oil to give out tax cuts.

Everything in this country is owned by foreign sovereign funds and shareholders, I find the whole thing disgusting.

Look at how Norway got rich from oil but the U.K. didn’t.

Norway sovereign wealth fund 1.5 trillion.
Uk sovereign debt 2.5 trillion.
