Vive La France!

And you both conveniently ignore this bit.....

However, abortion provider Marie Stopes UK said women having multiple terminations should not be stigmatised and the reasons for them "are deeply personal and vary widely".
You said you wanted to see some figures, when you was shown some that didn't match what you thought was the case you take it down another rabbit hole which is something your well versed in.

ApYour anti abortion arguments are too simplistic, try thinking harder
And your lets just kill the babies in case they miss their breakfast as mummy has spent all her money out clubbing it is even more simplistic

Hilarious nonsense

85% of those abortions are under 10 weeks

Abortions under 10 weeks are done by taking a pill at home.

That doesn’t cost tens of millions of pounds, it saves tens of millions of pounds
and how are the ones afterwards carried out , you know the ones were they have to stop the babies heart beat before mutilating it and sucking it out or actually delivering it .

Do you consider it ethical for a woman to undergo an abortion after 7 weeks when the chances are a heartbeat can be detected?

You should be embarrassed posting such immature nonsense.

Yes

The reason is because

A) the foetus doesn’t know it exists
B) it’s pointless forcing a woman to have a baby at a time when she can’t support it properly
C) the woman may well go on and have a baby when she is older, financially secure and in a stable relationship
D) making abortion illegal doesn’t stop them happening.

But you were talking about women who have multiple abortions…how many of those are doing it repeated times at over 12 weeks?

Some people take notice of that? Of course they wont. Same thing relates to a number of over simplified views.
The people who are anti abortion just want to make it an emotive argument, they aren’t interested in reality or practical issues.

They also ignore the fact abortion at later stages is not easily done, there will be multiple discussions with doctors etc, for many women there will be complicated and traumatic reasons for wanting an abortion in later stages

How do you define self-awareness?

you tell me you seem to think you are the forums medical expert a bit like you are now a plumbing expert after speaking to a guy for 5 minutes while getting a quote

Evidence from fetal learning paradigms of classical conditioning, habituation and exposure learning reveal that the fetus does have a memory. By comparison little attention has been paid to the possible function of memory. Possible functions discussed are: practice, recognition of and attachment to the mother, promotion of breastfeeding, and language acquisition. It is concluded that the fetus does possess a memory but that more attention to the functions of fetal memory will guide future studies of fetal memory abilities.

Memory is not evidence a foetus knows it exists

For a foetus to exist it must be conscious.

A foetus does not become conscious until minimum 24 weeks and more likely 35

“Assuming that consciousness is mainly localized in the cortex, consciousness cannot emerge before 24 gestational weeks when the thalamocortical connections from the sense organs are established. Thus the limit of legal abortion at 22-24 weeks in many countries makes sense.”

Sometimes there is a need for parents/ a woman to consider the options in order to come to a decision. One I may have had to make when my wife was pregnant and due to age went for genetic tests. My wife after a fashion had made the choice before the tests. She would accept a shortened but happy life for the child. Me - not sure but thankfully the decision wasn't needed. Would we have tried again - very probably.

Another factor. My daughter in common law gave birth about 12months ago. The baby was allowed to die naturally under support due to complications. It wasn't quick. She is pregnant again and this time will be monitored far more thoroughly. What will she do if abnormalities show up before the birth?
