Increase petrol mower rpm

Ive had to route my throttle cable slightly as each time i was putting the basket on it would always be in the way.
I can move the throttle lever then at a certain point the revs do not get any higher even though im mover the lever.

I just know it can rev more than like so at present i walking a lot slower than normal.

My sketch shows the outer cable, the inner cable & the clamp which holds things in place.

Can you advise which part outer or inner needs to be moved & towards the carb or away from carb.

Just to bring the revs up a touch.

It will be rev limited by a governor. The throttle control is just to select tick-over or full speed.

Move the outer cable, held by the clamp, as far as you can to the right - without the choke coming on.
After that it’s a governor tweak but I’d need detailed pics for that!

A rotary mower that relies on blades lifting the cutting through a chute into a grass box wouldnt be much use unless running at governed speed especially if wet

It has speed settings between the two extremes, but the fast, is limited by the governor.

How would Op know if the increase in speed was beyond the safe limits, a tachometer takes away the guesswork

These engines will have a maximum recommended speed.

Replacement mower rpm question.

I have had to buy another mower & photos are attached. A few little teething problems but nothing major & nearly completed. My question is I wish to bring the revs up a little. Please advise what lever I need to bend or spring altered etc. If I need to remove anything to show a different...
