Hey everyone,

Today, I worked on removing some light switches since they were no longer needed. After taking down a drywall partition, I was left with a "spaghetti" mess of wires hanging from the ceiling—left there for over a year. I started removing the switches, but now I have a problem.

The outdoor light and the downstairs hallway light have stopped working. Everything else—kitchen, living room, upstairs, and stairway lights—works fine.

I'll share some pictures of the switches, and I know you guys can help figure this out.

Can I connect these wires to the power supply from the cable that provides electricity to the kitchen and living room lights? When I previously checked, these wires had no power, so I assumed they were unnecessary—but I was wrong.

I’d really appreciate any advice on how to fix this properly. Thanks in advance!

Send a picture of the wires coming from the ceiling.

Some wires should be remain connected to each other. If not, then the circuit will be broken.

Yes I mention about that. Two wires were disconected and now their blanked / taped. Qiestion is Can I connect them to the positive wire same what gives power for the lights in kitchen and saloon. And I will post photo tomorrow now is little bit dark and all wires are hided because I was thinking this is it and I finish my work to early.

I don't suppose you remember (or photographed) the original connections

Not necessarily. and there is nothing called positive in AC voltage circuitry.

A photo of the ceiling wires may help. Let's see the photos. It may help, no promises!

Ok, almost everything is sorted out.

I just can't figure out how to wire the switches in the living room so that I can turn the light on with one switch and off with the other (and vice versa).

Right now, if I turn the light on with the first switch and then turn it off with the second one, I can't turn it back on with the first switch. I have to use the second switch instead.

I connected the wires to the same power source that supplies the kitchen lights. There were only two live wires – one is the main power source I mentioned, and the other one only gets power when the living room light is turned on.

One Red Wire from White sleeve is for steering light in saloon but other one where with which wire should be connected.??
