Why would I be against it?
this is Nwgs2s MO

he says he desnt support Trump, but makes supportive posts
he says he doenst support brexit but make supportiv eposts
he says he isnt against net zero, but is a cimate change denier

this is what trolls do: they want to stir up trouble but avoid declaring a personal position themselves

Nasty and devious

false argument

it is not irrelevant for the UK to be investing in development of green technology when China and Europe are surging ahead
Surely if the UK produce less than 1% of "climate gases" they will only reduce climate change by that amount when they are net zero? Quite understand getting involved in the gravy train but we need to remember that as a nation we wont make any difference to the climate. Come on guys, follow the science.

Most people who don't believe in man made global warming seem to be against it. Because they think that the costs are too high for something that they believe is pointless. So, I had just assumed.
72% believe it is true, 17% don't believe in it.

And yes, that small niche group does seem to have a lot of overlap with the small niche group who don't think net zero is a good thing.

We'll make 1% of the difference.

France will make 0.8% of the difference.

Germany will make 2% of the difference.

....

China has 31% of the difference to make up. Which is a lot. Then again they invested $940 billion in it last year, in 2021-2 we invested £50 Billion. They're not that far behind us proportionally. Everyone is working on this, why should we not bother when everyone else is.

But we are doing something. Spraying the skies randomly with sulphur.

Gotta love technology!

Aaaahhhh, but if we develop cleaner and cheaper energy tech.,we can sell that.....

While we might only produce a small percentage of the CO2, we might be the country that reduces not only ours, but also a good chunk of the rest of the world's.

What will likely happen though, is that China or whoever will be the leaders and, in twenty years time, the same old bastards will be complaining about how we're falling even further behind.......

Except we aren't, at least not deliberately. It as been suggested, but it isn't being done.

No but they are going to try it.

And that’s the level we are at. Spraying harmful chemicals around to try and bounce heat into space!!’

Possibly, it's a big world and global warming is going to be massively damaging, but not yet.

As to what would be sprayed, I haven't looked at it, where did you get sulphur dioxide from?
