Still no loss as the UKs 1% contribution to climate change is irrelevant any way.
false argument

it is not irrelevant for the UK to be investing in development of green technology when China and Europe are surging ahead

Let's not forget that net zero is very popular in the UK.

Two thirds to three quarters support it, less than one in five oppose it. If you oppose net zero you should be aware that you're in a minority. If that doesn't match your experience then you're probably not socialising very widely.

Who are you talking to ?

Adding context to the conversation. There seems to be an unusual grouping of Net Zero opposed people here. It's good for them to realise how niche their views are.

Where do you sit on net zero?

I couldn’t care less about net zero.

That's what the research will no doubt cover. It'll be good to find out the downsides as well as the benefits.

One problem with doing the research and finding out that global dimming is effective and relatively cheap is that people might start to think that we no longer need to reduce greenhouse gases.

Why would I be against it?

You’ve got a very blinkered view.

Most people who don't believe in man made global warming seem to be against it. Because they think that the costs are too high for something that they believe is pointless. So, I had just assumed.

I’ve no interest in it at all.

It’s snake oil to keep us busy.

Like Brexit I don’t care. I only care that remoaners keep going on and on.
