People that would rather get someone to 'pass' a shoddy load of old crap instead of replacing the consumer unit can't be helped.

They are the same people who complain that they can never get anyone to do work in their properties. because no one ever returns their calls, quotes never arrive and on the odd occasion they actually do get a quote, it's more than the property is worth.
