There are numerous socioeconomic things that contribute to us not being happy. Our individual extent of unhappiness will be linked to however many things p1ss us off.

So no, stopping the boats won't make us all 100% 'happy', however it would contribute to making many people feel a bit happier and would mitigate some of the socioeconomic tension.
