Let's just say I am a scientist who has different views and data countering the doomers, how much government funding do you think I will receive to carry out my research.

Firstly not all science funding is via the 195 different governments in the world. Oil companies for example are significant funders of universities and science. Any semi credible anti global warming scientist would be very well paid. This isn't theoretical either, look at Bjorn Lomborg. https://theecologist.org/2014/jun/26/bjorn-lomborg-and-mysterious-millions. Non corporate scientists aren't paid that well.

Secondly when we've seen scientists who aren't paid by governments they have found the same. Some of the earliest science in CO2 driven global warming was done by oil company scientists.

Thirdly you don't understand how science works, the reward for making a paradigm changing discovery is incredible. There is nothing a scientist loves more than the idea they'd find something new. Science journals also prioritise dissenting material, it makes good copy.

If someone was able to prove that hundreds of thousands of climate researchers were wrong then they'd be famous. No one has done that yet.

His theory that climate change is all a hoax is apparently somehow so obvious that a person with no scientific training or experience can see it, but so well hidden that no one can prove it.

The gov tells me via their paid for climate scientist that it's a human extinction event.

I don't think that's true, it's a massive unnatural disaster but humanity will manage. Plenty of individual humans are going to be impacted in a way that the modern world has never seen, but humanity will continue.

There you go again deliberately choosing to ignore what is said. No one is saying climate change is a hoax but its the amount, the impact the reason - as you said

humanity will manage. Plenty of individual humans are going to be impacted in a way that the modern world has never seen, but humanity will continue.

If it is man made if the world is boiling if it is the end of the human race like we keep being told and if it is because of CO2 then why the heck on earth is the government adding tax on everyhing that would reduce CO2 like

We should not be paying any tax on any eco stuff. It's a tax cash cow and morons fall for it. Hypocrite morons whilst at the same time as believing the C02 scam still take pointless plane trips to slide down a hill with some planks strapped to their feet knowingly adding to the disaster they believe in.

Then you have the stupid scenario where the first schools in England to install what the government described as "Great British Energy solar panels" bought them from Chinese firms.

That does sound rather silly when electric cars are more expensive. Maybe they should make it £45K or £50K for electric cars.

Governments make decisions on how the tax burden should be shared, a small amount extra for an expensive car is neither here nor there.

The climate scam, means we pay lots extra on our bills, to build windmills. If the wind blows just a little too much, we pay again, for them to not generate, at the same time paying a second time, for other forms of power generation. Where they do generate, the power cannot be got to where the power is needed. For when the wind doesn't blow, often in winter, when the power is most needed, we have to generate by burning gas - it's just a massive scam.

If they were serious about clean/green initiatives, then they would be investing all this money, in nuclear.

The climate is doing what it has always done, it is changing, but not as a result of what we have done/are doing - there is nothing much we can do about it, apart from do what we have always done - adjust to it!

I recently watched a tv series on dinosaurs. In the tens of billions of years they roamed the earth, they had to deal with weather extremes.

Not sure who was drilling for and using oil back then ...

The government needs an income and chooses to tax cars of a certain value.

You can disagree with what things are taxed, but that doesn't make it a scam or a con.
