OMG Religion

It makes more sense to believe in be devil, especially with all the evil in the world.

I’m not a Devil worshipper, it’s just how i see things. God can’t exist or care to allow all the evil things to happen.

There are 4000+ religions, each thinks their God is the only one. 99.9% of peoples religion is decided by an accident of birth. I can’t get past that.
Interesting.....

I've heard someone else say that, who is it can you remember?

I have a very strong faith/belief in God. I am a Catholic. I attend church every week. Even through lots of suffering, both mentally and physically i still love my faith. I cannot imagine going through life with no faith.

I did stop going to church etc when i was younger but, when my dear Mum passed 23 years ago, that got me back into my faith...

I wont debate my faith. I wont preach to those who laugh at people with faith. So, if you decide to take the pee at this post dont expect a response. You wont change my belief in God.
Great post (y)

On religion... count me in. There is only one religion, not 4000, and we are all the products of it. I presume we are all familiar with the theory of the "free rider"? Well, anybody in our country criticising Christianity is such a free rider.

What about those people from the right wing, who call Britain a Judeo-Christian country. Would that mean there are at least two religions; Judaism and Christianity.

I have never believed in the nonsense, seems to me to be a big cause of hatred and evil (although humans will always find an excuse for that) - however my wonderful wife was diagnosed with cancer a couple of years back, and since then I have been going into a church by myself when out cycling and saying a little prayer for her - I have been honest with god, I don't believe in you and ask nothing for myself, but help her.
So far it is all going well and she is now cancer free - and now I am scared to go past the church without popping in and saying thanks and keep her well.

Weirdly - I do like being in churches - wonderfully preaceful

Faith is a very poor reason to believe something, you can believe in anything based on that.

I am not looking for an argument by the way, just my view.

People who do not believe in a superior entity should refrain from laughing at religious people.
Simply because they know absolutely nothing about religion.
I agree that there's only one God, then humans have started different religions based on historical events, environment and cultural customs.
Some smart ass use religion to gain something from unaware believers.
This doesn't make God or religion bad.
There's a lot more to be said and explained, but the communists do not listen, they're incapable of listening.

I was a church member for years, might still be as I never gave it up, not sure how it works.

I was born into a Jewish family and raised with some leaning towards the Jewish faith. Constant conflict and two world wars have somewhat dulled my scant faith, but that said, I do think there are unexplained forces at work and those forces affect me and mine.
I seem to have Moses' words always in my mind "Let my people go" but there is always some bastard intent on having a pop at "my people" so I do tend to defend myself, my family AND my people. Why can't we all LIVE AND LET LIVE by treating each other as a valued family member
