Tbh I got frustrated with it, not alot of room, couldnt get my fingers in I'll sort it tomorrow at least I know it's the wiring when I close it up it trips.

Don't be tempted to shorten the overall length of the wires though, no one likes short wires.
Problem I had was when tightening they kept being pushed out
If they are being pushed out, then it because they are not inserted far enough, to be squarely under the terminal screws. Your final job, once the terminal screws are tight, is to give each single wire a tug, to make sure they are firmly trapped by the screws.

What does the switched fused spur currently serve?
Does it turn the main light on?
If so, and you connect to the load terminals, you don't want your new socket to only be functional when the main light is turned on.

The fused spur switches the light on, I did think is it only going to work when the lights on, but whenever I'm in there the lights always on due to how dark it is. I only want the socket there to out a WiFi adapter and it'll be handy for cleaning the car.
The switched fused spur is likely to have a 3 or 5 amp fuse in it, which is perfect for lighting, but very limiting for plugging things into the 13 amp socket.

Probably, tidy it all up and you should be fine
Which will go off, when the light is turned off.
