I would like to replace the downlight in my ensuite to a new one that has the correct IP rating for its location. EICR check I has said the light was non IP rated.
The current light as shown in the picture is a 12V downlight being driven by a transformer which is in the ceiling space nearby.

I am struggling to find a good 12V downlight that I can put in its place (using the same transformer) that has the correct IP rating.

How high is the ceiling? From the floor level.

What is the IP rating of the light and what did they say it should be?

Report says the light I have "doesnt" have an IP rating atall and needs to be replaced with one that does (but doesn't say which IP rating it should have).
I would say ceiling is about 2.2m.
Light is 35cm away from shower door.

Everything has an IP rating - even if it would be IP00.

2.25m is the relevant height - from the floor. Above that then it doesn't matter.

Get a 230V AC one and dispose of the transformer. Vastly more selection available. 12V affairs are basically obsolete, being primarily designed for halogen lamps.

As EFLI has said

Above 2.25metres from floor level is outside the bathroom zones. because of that, there is NO requirement for an IP rated fitting.
So the C2 "potential danger" result is WRONG.

Its just below, 2.2m.

But happy to upgrade the light so will go for something like this and take out the 12V transformer.
