Exactly. Almost everything done by computers these days seems to be getting described as "AI" but I have yet to be convinced that any of it satisfies what I would regard as a reasonable definition of "intelligence" (and, as I've also said, we first need to decide what we mean by "intelligence", even in humans or other biological animals).It’s just a way of collecting more darter (emphasis on pronouncing the proper British way rather than the American way so many folk do) it is not intelligent is it?
As we've both said. these computers are merely doing what tney have been programmed to do (by humans) which, as we've also both said, in the context of Chat GPT and the like is just a matter of collecting and processing data - the only (admittedly dramatic) difference from what humans could achieve being that of speed.
