He's Iranian and based in London, his father still lives in Tehran. He came to my attention some years back because of his pro Brexit podcasts.

I think you'll find that despite it's faults the BBC comes up time and time again to be top of the list when it comes to accurate reporting

You seem to forget that Iran was a democratic state at the end of WW2, because they nationalised their oil resources to benefit their own people, the British along with Americans organised a coup to overthrow the democratically elected leader of Iran.
With the installation of an American puppet government , the British and Americans took control of Irans oil.
