I'm sure I read, although things are getting better, some separated waste still gets chucked in landfill anyway.

And there's another one, evil land fill and the land fill tax we have been programed think landfill is evil so we accept the tax on it.
Its pointed out that the likes of France and Germany don't do it, you know why -- cause they haven't got any fecking holes and instead they burn theirs.

Recycling is definitely a big con. 90% of it ends up in landfill or shipped off to other country's less fortunate than ourselves. Most of it is unusable but we still do it.

Yes, huge amounts and far more than the scientific mainstream.

Thia is not true and demonstrably not true. I linked to Bjorn Lomborg, who was one of the few climate deniers in science for a long while. He was on 700k a year from one of his think tanks.

Think about it for a second, if you could prove there's no issue with CO2 then oil companies would throw millions at you hand over fist. They have done so for anyone who can cast some doubt on the topic as above.

Not all are, and yes hypocrisy, especially in the use of private jets, is absurd.

But demanding perfection from all people saying we should reduce CO2 emissions before doing anything is a childish and even more hypocritical position.

I put my plastic stuff in the appropriate bin. I put my paper and card in the appropriate bin. I put my garden waste in the appropriate bin. All of that is no great hassle. Other than that, it's the general bin for everything else. And if being honest I've never done (and never will) the separation thing e.g. tearing paper label off plastic and then putting in respective bins. Or rinsing stuff out before chucking it in the bin. Feck that.

There is nothing very green, about rinsing, rather it is a massive waste of resources. The water costs to collect, to purify, to pump, then the waste has to be treated. All for what reason? Around here, they do partially recycle, but lots of what is recycled ends up as fuel, for a generator.

Explain the logic, of recycling the likes of an old car battery, by burning fuel, causing congestion, driving that battery perhaps 6 miles to the recycling centre, then 6 miles back home again.

Car batteries contain loads of lead, around 8Kg. We can't bury it because it gets into the ground water, we can't burn it because that's worse.

You might want to picks different example. That's not for CO2 reduction, that's so weird don't poison ourselves.

Plus most places that sell batteries will also accept them for recycling. Proper prior planning prevents pointless tip runs.

Massive changes in understanding of science do happen, but none have been this well studied and this well predicted.

*Which is a scientists way of saying no, because scientists are generally open to being wrong. Nothing can convince you that you're mistaken here.
