Very true. When scum commit such crimes, the fallout for both the victim/s family and the perpetrator's family can be huge. Multiple lives impacted to varying degrees.

They didn't last time we had the death sentence for murder. Maybe things have changed since with human rights etc. It would be an interesting debate about how to frame a modern death penalty law.
