Yes. An inaccurate and irrelevant statement considering UK citizens pay tax virtually every time they make a purchase.

I don't. But let's take Dec27 at his word, and accept that he was a bit careless, that's all, and meant, and meant to write, "income tax".
Dec27 - can you explain how you "know" that there are 8 million people in the UK who pay more in income tax than they "take out"?
Will you please reference the official data on which you are relying for that claim?
