I can whole heartedly reccomend Princess cruises, huge ships, best service and facilities you can do from 7, 10 and 15 days to start you off. We have done a few 28 and 30 day cruises across the atlantic and the carribean. I would reccomend a 10 day for your first. 7 is too short as it is over before you begin. 10 is just right and 15 is a good time.Bump!!
Me and the Mrs fancy a cruise next year. We don’t want a cheaper one, money is an object, but we want it to feel special too.
We are thinking 9-10 days for our first one.
What do you chaps recommend?

I quite like the 7 day ones as long as you fly out to the ship. 2 weeks from Southampton can be a bit of a waste for a med cruise as you 'waste' 4 days getting there and back.7 is too short as it is over before you begin.
You should go for at least a balcony cabin. Personal view though. I find it nice to sit on your own balcony and watch the world go by. For 10 days give or take, try a 'repositioning' cruise where they go from Europe to Caribbean around October or Caribbean to Europe around April.Bump!!

Can you hint at what that costs please, or pm it.We went on a cruise (Marella Voyager) earlier this year starting in the canaries and finishing in the Balearics with a few stops in between. Was a really good ship. Great food, great staff and fantastic entertainment. Going on a P&O one in less than two weeks from Malta. Greece, Italy and Croatia. Pushed the boat out (so to speak) and have a suite this time. I do prefer the British ships compared to the American ones.

We always sail from Southampton.Cheers chaps, the Mrs is looking at them now.
Is Southampton the main place to go from ? I’ve heard people fly to New York and go from there

Princess cruises are pricey but they are the best in my opinion. We are doing a P&O one in March, first P&O one for a few years on their new ship, a lot cheaper than princess so we are a bit weary of it but we know a lot who say they are as good so we will see.

Yes we did a 15 day in a suite with princess, Italy, Croatia, France, and it cost us 8k, if we went on a balcony it would have been 5KI’m going to wait until you’re both back and wait for a review. Plenty of pics please.
We don’t mind spending but for 10 days are we looking at change from 10k for a mega cruise or less ?
