The ice cream thread got me thinking about ice lollies of old, old classics like

Zoom,

and another one the name escapes me that looked like stingray was that its name?

Fab

and another one whose name escapes me which was chocolate and nut coated but inside was a thick soft toffee filling that stuck to the stick right to the end, anyone remember the name of that one?

i remember being on me hol's in Newquay 1976 when cornetto's first became popular. i think i was about 10yrs old at the time.

Did you mean ice cream made in Italy or made by Italians living in this country. It may have been the same everywhere but in my home town after the war, almost every ice cream shop was run by an Italian. Soave, Benedetti, Pacione and so on. They all made brilliant ice cream!

Having just had a fish supper for tea, what I would give to wash it down with a double helping of 'Italian' ice cream.
