Seems like alot of us have children ,god forbid that we should end up in a position like the McCanns but what would you do in their position constantly keep it in the news or be out there scouring the world yourself rather than hire somebody to do it for you ,I know what I would do.

And what points have I made that are factually incorrect ?

Nearly all the papers are guilty of some sort of sensational speculation in some shape or form

Attention grabbing headlines like 'Madeline, parents confession'...only to find when you read further down that some psychic medium weirdo who had decided to get a bit more publicity by stating that their Red Indian guide ... had told them that they had heard a rumour from another guide (probably a Nun  ) that the fairies watching over Maddy had told them that the parents done it..

It sells papers...especially the building trades faves....Sun/Star/Sport..

Complete crap.

Have tried that and seems to be far more expressing empathy and sympathy than not.

This could run and run but fact is they are good people who made a mistake. If, in their attempts to keep the story high profile they upset a few Joe-90's then that is a small cross to bear. Good luck to them I say.

They are not upsetting me. They've shown no remorse for their actions.

They locked their three tiny children in a room and went to the pub. I look after my lawn mower better than that.

Maybe you do the same with your kids?

Complete rubbish.

The only person/persons who know what really happened are the ones who carried out the crime and all the mumbo jumbo that the papers print is (IMHO) irrelevant and counter productive.

All the 'mumbo jumbo' at least keeps it (the story) in the public eye and leaves open the remote possibility that she may be recognised and found.

Why waste millions on a kid that is never likely to turn up when you can help lots of kids that have a real chance of turning up? Sooner or later you have to face the reality that they allowed their child to be abducted never to be seen again. Statistically the hopes are tiny.
