Wiring a new hob: can I use Wago connectors?

Hi Mefster

There should be a cooker plate behind there somewhere. I would use my phone and hands to feel behind and find the cooker plate. I would then (as Bernard says) use a multitool or drill and saw to cut out the back of the unit where the cooker plate is.

I’ve done a lot of work in existing kitchens. On several occasions I have seen Cooker connection points with the cover plate missing.
Don’t put your hand anywhere unless you are sure what’s there.
Torch and a mirror is a safer plan.
