Immigrants welcome in Poland, illegal immigrants no chance ......

Imagine walking round the same supermarket with a packet of something off the shelf, but the shop happens to be closed. Are you a shopper, no, you're a ******* burglar.
The UK is never closed to asylum seekers. It's a 24X7 operation, and no legislation can legislate away anyone's human rights. Therefore the analogy is nonsense.

There are no designated points of entry for refugees into the UK,

Im pretty sure it's not any old stretch of beach near Dover.
What designated point of entry were they heading for?
As Vinty has just said, there are no designated points for asylum seekers, therefore any old beach, landing strip, port, railway station, etc will do as a point of entry to claim asylum.

What about those that died in the back of that lorry?
Why not ask the people smugglers that wouldn't have a business model if there were designated points of entry for asylum seekers.

You need to read the new legislation regarding illegal immigration that has been introduced by the government.

This does not apply to asylum seekers, it applies to people seeking entry into UK and avoiding detection by border force.
You need to read it again and decide if it's remotely relevant to this discussion.
And then when you've read it and understood, perhaps you could ask someone what are the safe and legal routes to apply for asylum.
Crossing the channel in a dinghy is legal but not safe. But it's probably a lot safer than remaining in their own country subjected to torture or death.

I repeat, no national legislation can legislate away anyone's human rights.

I said there there are no designated points of entry for refugees.
Asylum seekers are not classified as refugees when then enter the UK.

It will be against international law to simply disregard or deny a claim for asylum.
You cannot legislate away anyone's human rights.

"the detention of asylum seekers. Still, this is a social phenomenon that requires serious consideration since in many instances such policies and practices violate international standards for the protection of refugees. "

If UK want to violate international standards, that is up to them,. They have already demonstrated they wilfully break international treaties.

Semantics. You're arguing a pointless argument. By definition a refugee does not need a designated point of entry because they are already here.
There are no designated points of entry for asylum seekers. If there were, don't you think asylum seekers would be using them, instead of risking their lives crossing the channel in a dinghy?
"It is the blurring of the terms asylum seeker, refugee and immigrant that can account for much of the unpleasant attitudes that many have towards the people included in the groups. Asylum seekers are those that flee their countries of origin for their life, and who travel to another country, and make themselves known to the authorities through an application, in hope that the foreign government will allow them to stay there. What then is the difference between a refugee and an asylum seeker? An asylum seeker is someone whose application to live in the UK is being considered, while a refugee is someone whose application has been successful. There is no such thing as an illegal asylum seeker or an illegal refugee"

What's the difference between refugees and asylum seekers?
There’s often confusion around the labels used to describe refugees, which can be unhelpful.

Asylum seekers
A person seeking asylum:
  • flees their home
  • arrives in another country, whichever way they can
  • makes themselves known to the authorities
  • submits an asylum application
  • has a legal right to stay in the country while waiting for a decision.

Refugees
A refugee:
  • has proven that they’d be at risk if returned to their home country
  • has had their claim for asylum accepted by the government
  • has permission to stay in the UK either long term or indefinitely.
Refugees have a right under UK and international law to bring their immediate family members to join them.
