What are you having for breakfast?

Same again today with some grated Parmesan. Simply gorgeous.

Poached eggs and tomatoes on toast today but as Mrs Mottie was about and she nags me whenever I fry something, I sliced up a tomato and gave it a quick blast in the microwave.

For a change, fried green tomatoes on toast. A bit firmer and a bit sharper than ripe ones if you like that sort of thing. I didn’t, particularly.

2 eggs as usual. All I eat until the evening.
For a minor change I whisked them up with a little milk - makes them froth up a lot more.
Tipped them into a small frying pan which was laid in a bigger frying pan with water boiling in it, big lid loosely over the lot.
Just poaching really, but what you get is like the innards of a quiche, all homogeneous, no sign of browning.
A bit bland, but good with herbs and a slice of wafer thin ham.
 
I notice you went with brown sauce on Saturday and red today? What's all that about?

Brown only for me :)
