Holy Smoke

Yes, alcohol and caffeine are recreational drugs, affecting the mind and body. Also nicotine.

No, they are not much trafficked on street corners

Because they are not illegal.

It's making them illegal that fuels organised crime.
Nonsense, they have legalised recreational drugs in a number of countrys where the crime rates and dealers thrive, the only people who argue for it to be legalised are the ones that are drug users, there is no benefit to the man on the street who doesn't take them.

So now you say you don't object to all drugs.

Goalposts moved.

If you say you object to all drugs, then yes, you should include all drugs.

Do you want to move your goalposts again?
I am frantically running around with my goalposts due to the lack of sticking with the subject in hand, which is illegal recreational drugs.

So you're abandoning your "all drugs" statement.
All recreational illegal drugs that are of no benefit to anyone who doesnt need them for medical use but used to purely get high on. Now that being said lets hear some sensible reasons to legalise these type of drugs.

So, in summary, everything you want to indulge in should be or remain legal and, everything you don't, should not.

No logic at all. (y)
Have you an argument for legalising the use of illegal recreational drugs for just getting high as a kite on? If so let us hear the reason.

Got it. So you don't object to recreational drugs that are of no benefit to anyone who doesnt need them for medical use but used to purely get high on.

Such as alcohol, caffeine and nicotine

But you object to things that are illegal.

So if cannabis was legalised, you would not object to it.

And if alcohol was made illegal, you would object to it.

That's easily dealt with.

OMG No John you havent got it. Ignore the use of legal stuff, paracetamol, caffein etc, these are legal, ignore alcohol too, that is legal. Stick to the facts, Cannabis is illegal so you cannot argue the point of it as "if it was legal" it isn't. Where is your argument for wanting to legalise illegal recreational drugs.

I will answer it for you as you are struggling with this. There actually isn't an argument for it other than people who use it want to legalise it hoping the price will come down if it was more regulated. You do not care less for the ciminal gangs making money over it any more than you couldn't care less if a plumber makes a few pounds on the side doing guvvies away from the tax man.

And you know of no reason why some recreational drugs should be legal, with your approval, and some should be illegal, with your approval.

You are wrong.

Organised crime would not longer profit from it.

It could be taxed

Public safety would be improved by controlling purity and strength

Sales could be regulated in licenced premises.

I don't know why you pretend you weren't told already

And you know of no reason why some recreational drugs should be legal, with your approval, and some should be illegal, with your approval.
I am in full agreeance with the law on the subject, my approval or non approval is irelevant. They are illegal to use for recreational purposes and are legal for medical use, that is how it is and that is how it should be.
