Well, if you murder one, and that murder is witnessed, you still have a chance of getting away with it, so it doesn't necessarily follow that you would need to murder more, or everyone.

And if you are going to die anyway, kill one - might as well kill them all.

How many witnesses do there have to be for guilt to be 100% certain?

I get the same feeling, he craves my attention but yet doesnt read the fine details so gets everything wrong, annoying to say the least.
